Well today is my first day of class for the spring semester. With every semester comes the opportunity to try new things and also to improve on the old. As a person who uses digital media in the classroom, I want to make sure that Im using it in its most effective way. One of the main tools I use is Apple Keynote. I use it as a way to present arguments to students, guide students in taking notes, and for discussion questions and visual learning activities.
At times presentation software can be futile and ineffective in the classroom. The video shows ways in which it can indeed go south. Not being prepared, choosing style over substance, and using irrelevant bullet points are a few of them. Please don’t use it in these ways!!!
