At salon.com, David Sirota writes about our selective stance on bigotry. David notes that we seem to focus more on racist comments than on institutional racism. He suggest we do the later. Speaking of bigotry, there is a new website that highlights the racism and homophobia in political ads thoughout the years. It will break your heart but I think its something we all should be aware of.
While we are on the subject of politics, philosopher Gary Gutting’s New York Times piece How to Argue Politics attempts to answer the question of What if the democrats took a more philosophical approach to their opposition to Republican positions?
